frequently asked questions
How many hours should we book you for our wedding?
It really depends on what you’ve got planned and I’m happy to chat with you about your specific requirements so please feel free to get in touch. As an indication, four hours could be enough if you’re having a small wedding in the late afternoon and eight hours might not be enough if you’re planning a big wedding with a ceremony in a separate location to the reception. In my experience six hours of coverage is enough for most weddings, to capture the moments before, during and after the ceremony, family photos, bridal party portraits and the reception and dance floor (e.g. 3.30pm – 9.30pm). If you’re wanting to capture bride and groom preparation you will need to allow at least two hours of coverage prior to the wedding start time as time is also needed for travel between locations.
What time of day is best for photos?
Most photographers will tell you the best time for beautiful imagery is in the hour before sunset and a short while after. I always google the sunset time on the exact date of your wedding to know when this is. If you’d like to have photos after your ceremony, plan for the ceremony to commence around two and a half hours before the sun sets as this will usually allow enough time for the ceremony, congratulations and family photos and an hour of portraits during the most beautiful time of day. However, you don’t need to plan your day around the best time for the photos if this is less important to you, a good photographer will know how to make the most of the location you choose and the light you get on the day. If you would like to chat through any questions or concerns around timing (or anything else), please feel free to contact me.
We’re not getting married in Perth, do you travel?
Yes! My pricing applies for weddings and elopements in the greater Perth area. If you have a more distant location in mind please ask me to quote for the additional cost, and if I’m not available I might be able to recommend another photographer local to that area too.
We want to get to know you better, can we meet up?
Yes I’d love to! Drop me a line and let me know when you’re free for a coffee or a call. I’m available after hours most weekdays, and during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Do you recommend videography and who do you recommend?
I wholeheartedly recommend videography as a medium to remember your wedding day. Have you got any videos of you as a child? Or even videos of you and your friends from a few years ago? Video is amazing, there is a particular beauty in sound and movement that we don’t capture as photographers. When choosing a videographer it is important that their style of imagery (e.g. candid / documentary ) is similar to your photographer so they don’t need to direct you differently during the day. Here is a list of some great Perth wedding videographers to give you an idea of how amazing, and different, wedding videography can be:
Elena // Story Story https://www.storystory.com.au/
Steve // Perfect Day Film Co https://perfectdayfilmco.com
Emily // Life Atlas Film Co https://www.lifeatlas.co
Nat // Auburn Hour Film Co http://www.theauburnhourfilms.com
Melle // Till Death https://tilldeath.com.au
Where do you recommend I print my photos?
Not all prints are made equal. I recommend prints from Fred Snow online (Bunbury based) http://www.fredsnow.com or Fitzgerald Photo Imaging (Fitzgerald St, Perth) https://fitzgeraldphoto.com.au. You’ll have the choice to print with archival quality papers and inks for longevity, colour accuracy and clarity. It’s worth it.
I want to design my own photobook, who do you recommend?
I use the Australian printing house at https://www.momento.com.au for my personal photobooks, the quality is amazing and they offer great professional quality papers and cover materials. In my experience you only ever print a photobook one time and you keep it forever, so it’s worth doing well. I can also design and print your wedding album for you if you’d prefer, pricing starts from $750 for a 30 page, professional archival quality, lay flat photo album printed/bound in Australia.
How do I find you on social media and will you share our photos?
I post snippets of my work to stay connected with my clients over at @felicityfoundphotography . This is a valuable tool for my little business, but if you would like to keep your photos private, please let me know, I understand your preference and am happy to do this for you.
How do I know if you are the right photographer for us?
You just know. It’s important that you get a good vibe from your photographer as they’re with you for all the important moments on the day. My clients say I’m really friendly, happy, and relaxed and they’re glad I was there on their wedding day. If you think you would be too, please get in touch.
Do I have to pay a deposit, if so, when?
I take a $500 booking fee to secure your wedding date in my calendar. Once this is paid your date is reserved and I don’t book any other work on that day. This also gives you flexibility to add coverage later, once you’ve finalised your wedding plans. The balance of your package is due a month prior to your wedding date.
Shut up and take my money! How do we book you?
Yay! Drop me a line with all the deets and I’ll get it sorted for you. Let’s do this!

Additional Hours
I charge $400 per additional hour of coverage (approximately 60 images).
I prefer to have the time locked away before your final invoice is due, a month before your wedding, so that you’re not making financial and emotional decisions on your wedding day. That being said, of course I will stay if you ask me on the day and I will just invoice for the additional time the week after the wedding. Just know that I am not a stickler for the time so if the dance floor levels up or I stop for chat to your mum on the way out, I consider myself lucky and you won’t expect an invoice for that. I still can’t believe this is my job!
Album*
Pricing starts from $750 for a 30 page, professional archival quality, lay flat photo album designed by me and printed/bound in Australia.

Travel
My pricing applies for weddings and elopements in the greater Perth area. If you have a more distant location in mind please ask me to quote for travel. I often visit Albany (my home town) so if you live on the way to, or in, Albany we might be able to line it up at no additional cost!
Additional photographer
I charge $150/hr for an additional photographer for a minimum of 2 hours. I love this option for weddings with more than 100 guests as the second photographer will have time to focus on your people, while I focus on you.
